U4GM Obducite Farm Season 12 Tips Best Breaches to Caches

Season 12 Obducite farming in Diablo 4: normal Treasure Breaches pay out best, Strongrooms chain well via Escalation Sigils, Undercity Tributes are quick, while Hordes and caches lag behind.

Obducite is what slows most Season 12 builds to a crawl. You can have the uniques, the tempers, even the right affixes, and you're still stuck staring at the Masterworking screen because you're broke on materials. I've bounced between activities, tiers, and routes, and the difference is night and day once you stop "farming everything" and start targeting the few pieces of content that actually pay out. If you're also juggling upgrades and trading around Diablo 4 Items, this is the kind of loop that keeps your playtime from turning into pure busywork.

1) Normal Treasure Breaches (and why "normal" matters)

Normal Treasure Breaches are the top farm right now, and it's not close. A clean run is handing out roughly 5,000 to 10,000 Obducite, which feels almost silly compared to everything else. The catch is brutal, though: Bloodied Treasure Breaches are bugged. People keep queuing them up expecting a bigger payout, then walk out with scraps and wonder what happened. Until that's fixed, don't overthink it—run the standard version, finish it fast, reset, repeat. You'll feel your upgrade bottleneck loosen within a couple runs.

2) Strongrooms for steady income and chain potential

If you can't face another Breach back-to-back, Strongrooms are the next best use of your time. Most clears land around 500 to 850 Obducite, and the flow is simple: go in, clear, loot, move on. The real reason players are leaning into Strongrooms is the Escalation Sigil drops. You'll finish a room, get a sigil, pop it, and suddenly you've got more Strongrooms spawning inside the same session. When it hits, it turns into a satisfying chain where you're barely touching town and your material stack just keeps creeping up.

3) Undercity Tributes for quick hits and short sessions

Undercity Tributes don't look impressive on paper—usually 200 to 400 Obducite—but they're ridiculously quick. If your build's online, you're in and out in one to two minutes. That makes them perfect for those nights when you've got 20–30 minutes and don't want to commit to a longer loop. It's also a nice option when you're tired or distracted and just want something brain-off that still moves your Masterworking forward.

4) What to skip, and the small extras worth grabbing

Infernal Hordes used to be a comfy habit farm, but the Obducite payout is basically dead after the quiet nerfs. Across Torment testing, you're looking at something like 18 to 32 per run, which is rough. Only go there if you specifically need Gem Fragments or Scrolls of Restoration. Barter Masterworking Merc Caches are fine as a side bonus—think 50 to 100 Obducite—so open them when you get them, but don't chase them. If you're short on time and tempted to "just do Hordes," you're better off running a normal Breach or a Strongroom chain, and if you'd rather skip some of the grind altogether, a lot of players also use U4GM to pick up currency or items and get back to actually playing builds they enjoy.
